According to today’s edition of Roll Call, which is updating a story they first ran on Aug. 19th of last year because of the recent interest in the topic, a fresh look at the 36 million Ashley Madison email addresses associated with Capitol Hill and White House workers revealed the following:
“Nearly four dozen people who punch timecards at the White House.
“Seven folks with ties to House offices.”
And just one email address associated with the United States Senate:
“The office of GOP presidential hopeful Ted Cruz, R-Texas.”
The HOH (Heard on the Hill) section of Roll Call included a denial comment from a Cruz aide.
“The email address in question is press@cruz.senate.gov, a publicly and widely available forwarding address that is often entered into web contact forms by people with no connection to our office.”
Huh??? So if I am trying to impress a new mistress, I enter this email address on a webform – press@cruz.senate.gov - and then what happens if my new, ultra-secret girlfriend replies to that address???
“Dear Mr. Blankety-Blank, ok, I’ll meet you at the bar at the Willard Hotel on Penn, Ave. at 5pm. I’ll be wearing a Clinton button and a blue dress. But be sure to keep this quiet!”
