In the days following President Trump’s historic meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, where Trump has successfully secured a denuclearization deal that has long eluded former US president’s, discussions have taken place suggesting that Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.
If politics are set aside and President Trump is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, it will undoubtedly cause the anti-Trump mainstream media to reach new levels of insanity and anger at their utter failure to even slow down Trump’s historic presidency, which is well worth all the pomp and circumstance of an award ceremony for Trump’s supporters to witness yet another media meltdown.

In the days following President Trump’s historic meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, where Trump has successfully secured a denuclearization deal that has long eluded former US president’s, discussions have taken place suggesting that Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.
Yesterday, following the summit between Trump and Kim, the president announced that North Korea has agreed to “complete denuclearization” of the Korean peninsula. North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un signed a document stating that his country will work towards denuclearizing in addition to agreeing to dismantle a large missile testing site. Kim also agreed to return the remains of U.S. prisoners of war and those missing in action during the Korean War will also be returned.
President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed a document on Tuesday stating that Pyongyang would work toward “complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula”— a historic concession, which was one of the requirements the U.S. sought at the summit in Singapore. The historic agreement came after the two leaders held several meetings throughout the day. Trump was asked by a reporter if Kim agreed to denuclearize and he said, “We are starting that process very quickly.”Trump did not refer to the document as a treaty or agreement.Trump said at a press conference that he will be ending joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea. He also said Kim agreed to destroy a ‘major’ missile testing site, but did not offer specific details.
Needless to say, despite this agreement making the entire world a much safer place by removing a significant threat of nuclear war, the anti-Trump media is none too happy about this progress for the sole reason that it involved President Donald Trump in a positive way. Far-left news websites such as the Huffington Post churned out negative headlines at breathtaking speed over the past 24 hours such as “Trump Caused The North Korea Crisis He’s Taking Credit For Fixing” and “What Happens When North Korea Talks Fail”. One could be forgiven for thinking that the radical left wants Trump to fail at securing peace with North Korea and reducing the threat of a world war in favor of being able to tarnish Donald Trump’s presidency.
In essence, the radical left is rooting for more nukes in the hands of dictators and endangering
Despite the leftist media’s best efforts to diminish the president’s historic achievement with North Korea, Norwegian lawmakers have already nominatedDonald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize due to his role in securing the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
Two Norwegian lawmakers representing the populist party in the country’s legislature have nominated President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.The lawmakers told their local media that Trump has “taken a huge and important step in the direction of the disarmament, peace and reconciliation between North and South Korea.” The nomination comes after Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway took a swipe at former President Barack Obama’s own Nobel Peace Prize saying “look, the last president was handed Nobel Peace Prize. This president is actually going to earn it.
Norwegian lawmaker Tybring-Gjedde praised Trump’s role in securing denuclearization in North Korea, stating that Trump deserves the fame and branding him a “man of peace”.
“In this situation, Trump is obviously a man of peace. He tries to get something that others have not gotten, and when he makes it, he deserves fame,” says Tybring-Gjedde.
In addition to the two Norwegian legislators, 18 GOP lawmakers led by Representative Luke Messer (R-IN) signed a formal letter nominating Donald Trump for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize in May.
The letter is addressed to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, and states that President Trump has worked “tirelessly to apply maximum pressure to North Korea to end its illicit weapons programs and bring peace to the region.”“His Administration successfully united the international community, including China, to impose one of the most successful international sanctions regimes in history,” the letter says. “The sanctions have decimated the North Korean economy and have been largely credited for bringing North Korea to the negotiating table.”Other signatories include Reps Mark Meadows, R-N.C., Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., Diane Black, R-Tenn., and Steve King, R-Iowa.“Although North Korea has evaded demands from the international community to cease its aggression for decades, President Trump’s peace through strength policies are working and bringing peace to the Korean peninsula,” the letter reads. “We can think of no one more deserving of the Committee’s recognition in 2019 than President Trump for his tireless work to bring peace to our world.”
However, the Nobel Peace Prize committee received much criticism for their decision to award the prize to Barack Obama shortly after becoming president in 2008. Officially, Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”, but many Americans admitted they had no idea why Obama was awarded such a prestigious prize, other than for being the first black president, or what he had possibly achieved to further world peace at the time.
U.S. President Barack Obama’s selection as winner of the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday left many Americans puzzled about why he deserved the honor.“It would be wonderful if I could think why he won,” said Claire Sprague, 82, a retired English professor as she walked her dog in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village. “They wanted to give him an honor I guess but I can’t think what for.”Hospital worker Itya Silverio, 33, of Brooklyn, said: “My first opinion is that he got it because he’s black. What did he do that was so great? He hasn’t even finished office yet.”…Some Americans resented Obama’s popularity in Europe and other parts of the world.“Obama gives speeches trashing his own country and he gets a prize for it,” said conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, who has a wide following. The peace prize announcement quickly became one of the top discussions on social networking website Twitter. One user commented: “Why not give him the literature prize? At least he’s actually written a couple of books.”Political blogger Jon Henke tweeted: “So far, the right, left and media all seem to agree that the Nobel Peace Prize committee just beclowned itself.”
In an online poll conducted by MSNBC at the time, the majority of respondents felt that Obama should not have been given the award and saw it more as a political endorsement.
An online straw poll by MSNBC asked whether Obama deserved the honor. About 62 percent of more than 194,000 answers said no, about 24 percent said yes, while 13 percent said some day, but the award was premature.“It looks less like an objective award than it does a political endorsement,” said William Jelani Cobb, a history professor at Spelman College in Atlanta.
Although the reputation of the Nobel Peace Prize has suffered due to the award being given out strictly due to political reason, rather than actual achievements, Donald Trump receiving the award will represent his efforts to secure peace on the Korean peninsula, which is a substantial achievement that all past US administrations had failed at.
