SJW attitudes are pushing against the core fan base, which consists of huge numbers of heterosexual white, and also POC, males who find this attitude insulting. Those who don't know history, like SJWs, blame Western colonialism for all the troubles in the world, without considering the other civilisations that also engaged in domineering activity and slavery over millennia. The general hate against men, coming from entertainment SJWs, is ridiculous considering males are the biggest consumers of superhero culture. For the SJWs it's not a matter of having a society based on equal opportunities where REAL DIFFERENCES between the sexes plays a role, but on browbeating one (large) section of society for misunderstood wrongs.
This sort of attitude will actually impact their Box Office takings and inspire boycotts, like what we see with Star Wars. Above all is the key problem with the ACTUAL PRODUCT they are selling which has been tainted with the SJW brush. This often results in a poor overall story where the filmmakers end up trying to push something that isn't a good film. If the story is lame, or too preachy, or browbeats a large section of their audience, they can't expect extremely high Box Office takings. It's pretty simple really.
