Jim Jordan GRILLS Michael Cohen 2/27/19 Rep. Jim Jordan on Wednesday accused the Democrats of using President Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen as a “patsy” to get at Mr. Trump. “We just had a five-minute debate where Mr. Cohen disputes what the Southern District of New York found, what the judge found, that he was actually guilty of committing bank fraud,” Jordan said. “If this statement back here doesn’t say it all, ‘Cohen’s consciousness of wrongdoing is fleeting, his remorse is minimal, his instinct to blame others is strong.’ There’s only one thing wrong with that statement. His remorse is nonexistent. He just debated a member of Congress saying I really didn’t do anything wrong with the false bank things that I’m guilty of and going to prison for.” “Mr. Jordan, that’s not what I said, and you know that’s not what I said,” Cohen responded. “I said that I pled guilty and I take responsibility for my actions.” “They just want to use you,” the Ohio Republican said to Cohen during a highly-anticipated House Oversight Committee hearing. “You are the patsy today. They want to find someone somewhere to say something so they can remove the president.” Cohen, once Trump’s loyal attorney and fixer, has turned on his former boss and cooperated with special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. He begins a three-yearn sentence in May after he pleaded guilty to lying to Congress in 2017 and committing campaign finance violations while he was working for Trump. “This is the first time a convicted perjurer has been brought back to be a star witness,” he said. “This is a first because no one else would do it.”

Democrats Announce Plan To Take Down Trump Over Bimbos - So they want to indict Trump for being the victim of extortion while Obama's campaign finance violations warrant a fine? Our two-tiered justice system and the Dems asses are showing.

Of course Democrat media are failing to see the double standard (also see Rosie O’Donnell vs Dinesh D’Souza) claiming that Cohen's is a more serious criminal case. That's because the deep state run DOJ should and would have passed this off to the FEC if it weren't Trump. Of course they claimed Obama's violation was just a mistake and not a knowing violation of the law. Give me a break!

And none of this would be going on if not for the Russian Collusion hoax. These are sad times for our country.

Trump is allowed to donate to his own campaign, which is what took place. Whether he knew about the payments to the women beforehand or not doesn't really matter. A lie in this regard likely stems from him wanting to have plausible deniability as it pertains to his family.

Obama Campaign Fined Big for Hiding Donors, Keeping Illegal Donations:

The fines were a result of complaints filed with the FEC by the Republican National Committee.

What if the Republicans had never raised a fuss, you think Obama would have corrected the situation on his own? Because if not, that would indicate a knowing violation wouldn't it?  In any event, nobody usually goes to jail for this stuff because intent to violate the regulations is hard to prove and nobody is getting hurt. It's the double-standard that matters the most here.

Will Rosie O’Donnell Serve Time Like Dinesh D’Souza?:
https://townhall.com/columnists/rachelalexander/2018/05/07/will-rosie-odonnell-serve-time-like-dinesh-dsouza-n2478111
Excerpt:

O’Donnell’s contributions are similar to what conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza did during the 2012 election cycle. He asked two friends and their spouses to contribute $10,000 each to a congressional campaign, then he reimbursed them. Prosecutors chose to bring charges against him, and he ended up pleading guilty to the felony of making illegal contributions in the names of others. He was sentenced to eight months in a halfway house, five years probation and a $30,000 fine.

But prosecutors didn’t need to bring charges against him. Especially not felony charges. Left-leaning Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz said at the time, “I can’t help but think that [Mr. D’Souza’s] politics have something to do with it… . It smacks of selective prosecution.” Dershowitz told Newsmax, "This is clearly a case of selective prosecution for one of the most common things done during elections, which is to get people to raise money for you. If they went after everyone who did this, there would be no room in jails for murderers."
