Ohhh Hogg, we need to work on your critical thinking skills... "AR 15 has a range of 1600ft and handgun is 75ft" School shootings are close quarters so the distance is irrelevant. A pistol can and has (virginia tech) proven to kill just as easily as an AR 15 in a school. Background checks are already mandatory to buy a fire arm. Now if he wants to include mental issues with them, then where do we draw the line? If you are taking anti-depressants do we say you can't get a gun? Hogg and friends never define clear lines on what they actually want with their talking points. Lastly, when Hogg says legislation on AR15s and rifles like it... it is code for "ban semi-auto rifles that look scary". These people still ignore the fact that they are calling a rifle an "assault rifle" purely based on aesthetic appearance and not based on actual functionality.

"black people are being disproportionately criminalized" That's an odd way of saying black people are disproportionately criminals. Very odd indeed. Really makes you think. Why are more than half of all homicides in the US committed by persons belonging to a racial demographic which represents just 13% of the population? Did the white man make them do it? Damn white man and institutional racism, always forcing minorities at gunpoint to kill people. Except East Asians. Strange, their homicide rate in America is even less than that of whites. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

If I argued for destroying the right to privacy because a few people misuse private chat features to sell drugs or whatever, you'd think I was nuts, right? And gun control won't do anything anyways. The UK has plenty of it and they now need metal detectors in schools and are melting down as a
society.
Editor's Note: Metal detectors is a great idea, as is armed guards and trained civilians, and as Styx points out, better mental health treatment, teachers, and parents, would be just grand as well.
