With the mainstream media focusing heavily on President Trump’s polling results, while at the same time maligning his every move, little has been said about how the public views his wife Melania up to this point.
Now, a CNN/ORC poll released last week finds that 52% of Americans view Melania Trump favorably, which is a dramatic increase over this same poll’s results prior to the inauguration that showed her at 36%

Oddly enough, 3% of Americans stated they still don’t know who Melania Trump is, which I can’t help but wonder if they are even aware that Donald Trump is indeed their president.
About 52% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Melania Trump, an increase from 36% pre-inauguration. In February 2016, the former model’s favorable rating was a paltry 24%, her unfavorable was 31% and 23% had never even heard of her. Now, just 3% say they don’t know who the first lady is, and her unfavorable rate has held steady at 32%.
Most of the recent uptick in favorable results are due to those undecided Americans, or those who had yet to form an opinion. Pre-inauguration, 23% had no opinion about the first lady, compared with 12% now.
The poll also found that 12 percent have no opinion of Melania Trump, compared with 23 percent prior to the inauguration.  The survey included interviews with 1,025 adult Americans conducted by telephone by ORC International on March 1-4, 2017. The margin of sampling error for results based on the total sample is plus or minus 3 percentage points. This sample includes 509 interviews among landline respondents and 516 interviews among cell phone respondents
The First Lady made an appearance at a children’s hospital earlier this month where she read books to sick children, including Dr. Seuss’s classic ““Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”
Focusing on children’s charities was also one of Melania’s goals should she become First Lady, as she stated in one of her interviews during the election last year.
Given the tendency of polls during the election to show Donald Trump’s numbers dramatically lower than they actually were, I’d wager a guess that Melania’s actual favorability is trending higher than the 52% found by CNN’s survey.  Those on the left sometimes criticize Trump supporters for believing in polls that show positive results for the president, yet claiming bias towards the ones that portray him negatively.  However, judging by how the mainstream polls consistently underestimated Trump’s actual support last year, it would be logical to assume that trend is continuing.
When it comes to Donald Trump and his family, mainstream polls often fail to include a very large sect of society that has become disillusioned with America’s government over the years, particularly under Obama.
