If Trump really did want to 'kick out' foreigners, he'd have to start with his own wife
The fake news media has continued to alienate the entirely of America, beginning the week’s news cycle by fawning over a clearly deluded liberal Hollywood actress delivering what can only be described as a barely coherent rant directed at president-elect Donald Trump.
Meryl Streep, who won a Golden Globe award Sunday, for… something… no one really cares what, used her 5 minute speech to suggest that Trump is seeking to ‘kick out’ all people from the US who were not born there, that he wishes to destroy the free press enshrined in the Constitution, and that he wants to erase the arts from American culture.
Meryl Streep's anti-Trump speech at The Golden Globes touches on protecting journalists RT @goldenglobes:
Streep began by not only revealing she had lost her voice from ‘screaming in lamentation’, but also that at some point last year she ‘lost her mind’… mmmmmkaaaay, so immediate ‘crazy old lady’ vibes there.
In a vomit-inducing name drop session, she then reeled off a list of Hollywood actors who hail from different places, and suggested that they were all somehow in danger of being deported by Trump.
“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners and if we kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts,” Streep said, prompting what CNN described as “huge applause” from the gathered A-listers.
Yeah except no one’s getting ‘kicked out’ of anywhere are they, so that’s all fake.
In fact, if Trump really did want to kick out foreign born people residing in America, he’d probably have to start with his own wife. If his mother were still alive, he’d also have to show her the door.
So, yeah, unlikely, and completely made up.
Streep then said while there were “many powerful performances this year,” here was one that “stunned” her and “sank its hooks in [her] heart.”
“Not because it was good. There was nothing good about it. But it was effective, and it did its job. It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country [Trump – she cannot say his name even] imitated a disabled reporter- someone he outranked in privilege, power, and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart,” she said, starting to cry.
“When the powerful use their position to bully others,” she added, “we all lose.”
Right, so Trump mocked a disabled reporter in 2015. Except he didn’t. He’s used the same ‘flustered’ imitation time after time to jab at Army generals, bankers, Ted Cruz, Donna Brazile, and even himself. Everyone in fact. So again, FAKE outrage.
Next… The press.
“We need the principled press to hold power to account.” Streep urged, adding a call for the “famously well-heeled Hollywood Foreign Press” to support the Committee to Protect Journalists. “We’re going to need them,” she said, “and they’ll need us to safeguard the truth.”
Oh God, the press and the ‘truth’ it safeguards is under threat from Trump.
This being the same press that admittedly and openly planted its flag in the corner of Hillary Clinton, saying that it no longer had to ‘pretend’ to be non-partisan.
This being the same press that repeated Clinton talking points, as proven by WikiLeaks.
This being the same press that told America it was a ‘dangerous’ conspiracy theory to question Clinton’s health, just days before she collapsed in a heap in public.
This being the same press that colluded with the Clinton campaign to ensure she received debate questions ahead of time.
This being the same press who ran segments suggesting that Trump will put foreigners in concentration camps.
This being the same press that put out a ‘Madam President’ magazine before the election took place, then admitted that it had outsourced the writing to pro-Clinton people, and failed to even proof read it.
The list goes on. The only press that is under threat from Trump is the biased press that continually puts out fake news.
Perhaps Meryl Streep should stick to acting. Portraying a fake persona, and constantly reveling in the fake world of Hollywood, back slapping her colleagues, no matter what they have done. It seems to be what she does best.
