World famous singer Jennifer Holliday has received a ton of negative backlash, mostly from the black community, over a rumor that she was going to perform at the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. Holliday says she was called to perform at the inauguration and while she was considering it, the final decision hadn’t quite yet been made. The information was somehow leaked and or distorted and the ensuing backlash was fierce, to say the least. While aware of the sensitive nature of this election, she did not think that she would be attacked for simply going to sing.
This is nothing new for those of us on the right, especially black people on the right. When we attempt to leave the Democrat plantation and think for ourselves, there are people who fight tooth and nail to prevent that from happening. Overseers and slave catchers, if you will. These people come in all shapes sizes ages and colors. Some of them are literally paid by the “establishment” to perform their task, like the so-called civil rights “icon” John Lewis… and others do what they do simply out of being brainwashed and conditioned to do so. The latter is most likely the overwhelming majority of those who have attacked Jennifer Holliday on social media.
Some would say that nasty and scary remarks on social media don’t really amount to anything. During Jennifer’s interview on “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg said something along the lines of “this is why people should turn off their Twitter.” Meanwhile, the people sending messages of hate to Jennifer Holliday are real people, and you can’t turn off the severity of their words that could potentially lead to destructive actions. At a certain point, what people say must be taken seriously, which is why Jennifer Holliday backed out of the situation completely.
It’s an unfortunate situation but at the end of the day, it should be a call to action to all people that support decency, especially those of us in the black community. We have to all stand up and support women like Jennifer, and everyone else that gets attacked for simply thinking outside of the box. If we don’t, these types of situations will continue to happen and the bottom rungs of us… those enslaved by the Democrat left… and the left itself… will continue to grow.
