HAPPENING NOW: Out-of-Control ICE Protests Force the Statue of Liberty to SHUT DOWN

It’s official.

Liberals hate America.

So much so, they decided to ruin Fourth of July for the rest of us patriots.

The scene played out at the Statue of Liberty, where Democrats held an “Abolish ICE” protest that got so out of control, a woman was climbing the statue and the entire island had to be shut down.

Liberty Island was evacuated Wednesday and at least 10 people arrested as a group of self-styled “Resistance” members demonstrated at the iconic Statue of Liberty to protest President Trump and demand that immigration enforcement end.

At least one female protester also tried to scale the statue on America’s Independence Day.

The woman made it as high as the Statue of Liberty’s midsection, Sgt. Dave Somma, U.S. Park Police public information officer, told TV station WNBC in New York.

The whole island was evacuated as a precaution, he said.

The Park Police already had arrested several other people for unfurling a banner saying “Abolish I.C.E.” at the statue.

According to WNBC, the group Rise and Resist NYC took credit for the demonstration, saying on Facebook that it demanded the immediate closure of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, increasingly a common demand among Democrats, and that the administration”reunite families, halt deportations and end detention as a deterrent.”

According to the Associated Press though, Rise and Resist said the climber wasn’t connected to its demonstration earlier in the day.
