I definitely think these standards need to be lightened up a bit, maybe if 90% of the parts are American made or something like that.
Maglite, 100% made in the USA since 1960.
I feel real bad for the Maglite CEO and Founder that they have been making their flashlights since 1960 and now have moved with the market and converted all the lights to LED. The lightbulb is now purchased overseas to compete with the "knockoff" market and the US Government will not let them state it is "Made in the USA" . I am thinking we need to have new standards of "Made In" statements.
How bout we call it Manufactured in the USA?
