On Wednesday, February 1st, 2017, conservative blogger and journalist Milo Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak at the University of California at Berkely (UC Berkeley) but could not due to an overwhelming “protest” which was just a thinly-veiled full-on riot. The rioters appeared to have come from near and far. Some paid, some not paid, all very dangerous. Many of them were probably at the UC Davis event doing the same thing just a few days earlier, as that campus is only about an hour and a half away from UC Berkeley. That was another event which was featuring Milo but was set up by Martin Shkreli a.k.a. “Pharma Bro.”
The UC Berkeley event is just another one in a long line of attacks against conservatives from the left that has been popularized every since the infamous “hands up don’t shoot, black lives matter” event in Ferguson Missouri over the death of Mike Brown. Groups of subversive people and random, angry, confused individuals joined together to wreak havoc in the streets of Ferguson. Destroying businesses, turning the politics of the city upside-down, effectively ruining the lives of many all because of a false allegation of wrongdoing against a police officer. The people involved with the mayhem saw that their efforts weren’t really thwarted or condemned by the Presidential administration nor the majority of the mainstream media, so they started to pop up at similar situations all over the country.
Now it has become a popular thing to do. To ruin events, destroy property, fight police, and behave as anarchists. All of it is done under the name of equality and anti-fascism. But the reality is, the people involved are extreme fascists and do not believe in equality and diversity. But at the end of the day, if nothing is really and truly done to stop these events, not only will they continue, they will ratchet up in occurrences. Some say that the right should just kowtow to the left. That would signal an effective coup. One that was done without use of a lot of firepower. Hopefully it does not have to come to that and a show of force against the extremist left would deter them from moving forward.
