Good evening, I’m still reporting on Jill Stein.
Green Party candidate Jill Stein is having a little trouble justifying the $6.5 million bucks she has raised to keep her face on TV asking for recounts in the three rustbelt states that Donald Trump flipped.
Only one state is actually recounting so far, that’s Wisconsin – ,gkj about a third of the votes counted, Trump has actually gained a massive 37 votes. This is typical for recounts – very small changes.
Of course, Wisconsin is a state where Stein wanted to force a hand recount that would have ended up in Wisconsin not being able to finish in time and therefore losing its 10 votes in the Electoral College.
Now, I’ll have to admit that if Trump had narrowly lost, I’d be the first to be screaming “recount”.
But as I said all along, whatever crookedness that Clinton could conjure up was about a 3% steal. Trump’s win was so big it eclipsed that. Now Trump is free to appoint some trusted people to delve into how the Dems cheated in detail and close the loopholes for next time.
But really all of Stein’s efforts have been for naught since she failed to make the Nov. 21st deadline in Pennsylvania, missing it by a day. Stein filed a lawsuit challenging the deadline, but has dropped that now.
All Stein is trying to do now, is to get as much publicity for her face as she can before the $6.5 million she has raised for the recount runs out.
Maybe she’s elevated herself enough to be Bernie’s VP pick next time, but probably not.
Now the more Stein flounders around, the more evident the truth becomes. Here is the pinnacle of her political career – her appearance on Chris Wallace’s show on Fox yesterday where she dodged nearly every question, talked over half of the others Wallace tried to ask her, and all around looks like just another lying politician.
