The Truth About Donald Drumpf: John Oliver on Donald Trump

On February 28th, 2016, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver broadcast their "epic takedown" of Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump. Oliver criticized Trump's business history, licensing of his brand, possible insecurities, potential inconsistencies, self-funding of his campaign, telling it like it is, political correctness and created the Donald Drumpf meme.

Includes: Jon Stewart's name change, Trump University, Trump Steaks, Politifact, Trump Vodka, Trump Shuttle, Go Trump, Trump Magazines, Trump Mortgage Company, Disavowing David Duke, Ku Klux Klan and much more!

The last few seconds of the clip is missing but the main content, that shows Trump is not how he portrays himself, is here.

In the video Trump comes across as borderline corrupt and very dishonest - and a poor businessman, who is much less rich than he claims. Apparently he puts the value of the Trump brand (the name itself) at 3 billion dollars!

However, despite this ruthless assessment, Trump's actual statements about the economy, even if he is a scumbag, are correct (20%+ unemployment) and he has a good plan to bring back jobs (tariffs).

Against Trump are establishment candidates that have no good job creating plans, who don't recognise the real causes of US poverty, and they are all very much more pro-war than Trump - if Trump is to be believed. The other candidates certainly can't be taken at their word. It'll be business as usual.

At the end of the day, at least Trump is talking like he will fix the wrecked US economy and comes across as the most anti-war candidate.
