The problem with those living in the mainstream media bubble is that there's this thing called the Internet. Trump supporters looking at material online will find criticism of things like Russia-gate, and media can't do anything to stop it. This is why, along with the poor state of the US economy, and Trump's celebrity status, he won the election.
