Trump: ‘Rigged’ System Protecting Clinton From Prosecution

The FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server was politically biased, allowing the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee to avoid being indicted, according to Donald Trump.

Politico reported that the Republican candidate accused Clinton of putting the nation at risk by using the server at her New York home while she was secretary of state. FBI Director James Comey announced Tuesday morning that while his agency is not recommending criminal charges, Clinton and her staff were “extremely careless” in possibly allowing “hostile actors” to access classified government information.
Trump, in responding to the FBI’s decision, repeated his charge that President Obama’s Democratic administration is shielding Clinton from prosecution. “Because of our rigged system that holds the American people to one standard and people like Hillary Clinton to another, it does not look like she will be facing the criminal charges that she deserves,” the billionaire businessman declared in a written statement. “The final jury will be the American people, and they will issue the verdict on her corruption, incompetence and bad judgment on November 8th.”
Trump pointed to the recent meeting of former President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch at a Phoenix, Ariz., airport as evidence of a conspiracy to protect his rival in the race for the White House.
“I don’t even know if you would call (the FBI’s recommendation) an exoneration because there were so many bad things said about what she did,” Trump told Fox News. “I mean, she’s like incompetent. She’s essentially incompetent. I mean, basically, they are saying she’s incompetent. If she’s not dishonest, she’s incompetent.”
