Everyone — Obama & Trump as well as NRA & LGBT lobbyists — are saying the Orlando shooting requires new gun control measures to support “national security”. Will the secret “terror watchlist” and “no-fly watchlist” be used to justify taking guns from enemies of the state, placed on the lists without due process? The NRA supports the idea. Trump wants to talk to them about it. It has been the narrative coming from Obama since the shooting, pushed by Jeh Johnson of Homeland Security and is the subject of a Democrat filibuster today.
