House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may soon be facing similar allegations to Joe Biden. A recent report suggested Pelosi’s son Paul may have used her position to benefit financially. A promotional video from 2013 resurfaced on Thursday, brought to public attention by journalist Patrick Howley.

Earth To Nancy Pelosi: How Is It Exactly That “Obamacare Has Succeeded In Every Way?”

In a stunning display of willful ignorance, House Minority Leader, Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), during a recent town hall on CNN, made the laughable statement that the healthcare debacle known as “Obamacare” has “succeeded in every way,” leaving millions of people who see the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as a nightmare for their pocketbooks scratching their heads and asking, “What, exactly, has been a success, Ms. Pelosi?”
The Obamacare rollout was, as most Natural News readers probably know, nothing short of a complete and utter disaster. But even worse have been its residual effects on premiums and healthcare costs as a whole; what was supposed to be “affordable” care, it turns out, has actually become more expensive. And then there is the “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” fairy tale nonsense promised by the former president.
No matter how you look at it, Obamacare has hardly lived up to all the hype. It has created all sorts of problems for the millions of hard-working Americans who can no longer afford to have health insurance. Where is the affordability for them, or their children and grandchildren that, apart from a full repeal, will also have to suffer under the weight of its burdensome mandates? In Pelosi’s view, the law itself had three primary purposes and somehow, in her mind, all three have been achieved: increasing healthcare coverage; improving healthcare benefits; and lowering healthcare costs. Tens of millions of Americans would strongly disagree with her estimates, but this is her view, and presumably the view of her Democratic allies fighting tooth and nail to defend their precious healthcare bill.
“Some of the costs are still going up because of the costs of prescription drugs,” she admitted, adding though, that these costs are supposedly increasing at a much slower rate following the bill’s passage and enactment than at any other time that such metrics have been measured.

Pelosi’s delusions about the merits of Obamacare go back seven years

Pelosi also said about a month ago that she believes Obamacare was “bipartisan” legislation, and that both sides have been on board with its agenda since the beginning, despite the fact that it passed without a single Republican vote. Still, Pelosi remains insistent that the only “tweaks” made to the law involved certain budgetary measures.
Many readers will recall that Pelosi was the same individual who back in 2010, when asked on NBC News’ Meet the Press by host David Gregory what the bill entailed, stated that, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” Based on this statement, some assumed that Pelosi herself did not actually know what Obamacare fully entailed prior to voting for its passage.
From the very beginning, Pelosi has apparently been under some strong delusion about the merits of Obamacare that nobody else besides her can see. She thought Obamacare was a good thing without knowing what was in it; she thought it had bipartisan support even though no Republicans backed it; and she now thinks that it has succeeded in every way, even though it has accomplished essentially nothing positive in the public interest. In essence Pelosi seems knee-deep in disinformation or self-delusion over the reality of how Obamacare has hurt so many American families in so many ways.
Considering that Nancy Pelosi has been wrong so many times on so many things over the years, how can anyone really trust anything she says anymore? It seems as though Pelosi is really losing her connection with reality at this point, or is so disconnected from how real people are being impacted by her precious Obamacare that she is willing to say anything — even blatant lies — to defend it. Now, Pelosi is spewing nothing but liberal propaganda rather than anything rooted in reality.

Within hours of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) releasing additional details about her Medicare For All Plan, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has a message for Democrats running for president: You guys are blowing it by moving too far to the left.

Bloomberg reports that during an interview in New York, the San Francisco Democrat expressed concerns about her party's candidates alienating moderate voters with their progressive policy agenda. According to Bloomberg:

Proposals pushed by Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders like Medicare for All and a wealth tax play well in liberal enclaves like her own district in San Francisco but won't sell in the Midwestern states that sent Trump to the White House in 2016, she said.
Instead of pursuing ideas like abolishing the electoral college, government-run health insurance programs, and getting rid of private healthcare, Pelosi urged Democrats to focus on building upon the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). "Protect the Affordable Care Act — I think that's the path to health care for all Americans. Medicare For All has its complications," she said, while adding "the Affordable Care Act is a better benefit than Medicare."

She added, "What works in San Francisco does not necessarily work in Michigan."


Too little, too late?
The House Speaker's comments come after Democratic leaders spent months and years cultivating a radical base that would propel them to power. In 2018, for instance, DNC Chairman Tom Perez said democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is "the future of our party." Meanwhile, Pelosi graced the cover of Rolling Stone magazine earlier this year with Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).



Although Pelosi and Ocasio-Cortez had their differences this summer, it was reported the two patched things up in late July. In April, the San Francisco Democrat defended Omar following the release of a controversial video showing the Minnesota congresswoman describing the 9/11 terrorist attacks as an event where "some people did something."

Self-inflicted wound
Pelosi is rightfully worried, but the truth is that she and other Democrats have been reckless in their leadership of the party. The DNC has given a platform to radical voices that are now having an outsized influence over the party's direction and the presidential primary process.

It is true that Ocasio-Cortez and the Squad are small in numbers, but they are punching well above their weight. Their Green New Deal is co-sponsored by 11 Senate Democrats (including five presidential candidates) and 95 House Democrats⁠.

Meanwhile, Warren proposes to cut school choice for parents; impose a wealth tax; and implement greater government control of broadband internet services. Furthermore, proposals by Senators Sanders, Gillibrand, and Booker want to guarantee a federal job to every American.

Rather than building a sustainable centrist coalition that could appeal to moderate voters, Pelosi, Perez, and others have elevated extremists and tried harnessing a radical base. As she must now be realizing, this was a foolish mistake that is jeopardizing her party's 2020 prospects and her control over the Democratic Party.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Friday that she's never met with the current Russian ambassador, Sergey Kislyak.
"Not with this Russian ambassador, no," Pelosi told POLITICO's Jake Sherman and Anna Palmer during a Playbook interview, when asked if she'd ever met with the Russian envoy.
But a file photo from Pelosi's 2010 meeting with Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev shows Kislyak at the table across from Pelosi — then House speaker — and Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.). Medvedev had been in the country for a meeting with President Barack Obama a day earlier and stopped in on Capitol Hill to meet with congressional leaders as well.
Asked to square Pelosi's comments with the photo of the meeting, a spokesman said that Pelosi had simply meant she never had a solo meeting with Kislyak.
"Of course, that's what she meant," said the spokesman, Drew Hammill. "She has never had a private one-on-one with him."
No one on either side of the aisle has suggested it's improper for lawmakers to meet with foreign diplomats. Rather, Democrats have slammed Sessions for failing to disclose those contacts, which came at a time Russia was increasingly believed by U.S. intelligence agencies to be meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Pelosi's explanation is similar to one offered by Sen. Claire McCaskill Thursday, after she swiped at Attorney General Jeff Sessions for privately meeting with Kislyak in 2016 and failing to disclose it when asked about communications with Russians during his confirmation proceedings in January. Sessions has emphasized that meetings with ambassadors are common for lawmakers and that he met with Kislyak in his capacity as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
McCaskill, a Missouri Democrat, tweeted that in her 10 years on the Armed Services Committee, she had received "No call or meeting w/Russian ambassador. Ever."
But after confronted with a pair of her own tweets from 2013 and 2015 in which she described a meeting and call with Kislyak, McCaskill walked back her comment.
"The Russian ambassador never called me. The Russian ambassador has never asked for a meeting with me," McCaskill told reporters, adding, "you cannot say that having a one-on-one meeting with the Russian ambassador was a common thing to occur."

Update: House Democrats voted Friday to defend localities that allow illegal immigrants to vote in their elections, turning back a GOP attempt to discourage the practice. As The Washington Times reports, the vote marks a stunning reversal from just six months ago, when the chamber – then under GOP control – voted to decry illegal immigrant voting.
“We are prepared to open up the political process and let all of the people come in,” Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat and hero of the civil rights movement, told colleagues as he led opposition to the GOP measure.

“It sounds like I’m making it up. What kind of government would cancel the vote of its own citizens, and replace it with noncitizens?”

As we detailed earlier, using carefully chosen words in what appears an attempt to hide the truth, House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi admitted this week  at a news conference on voting rights with Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) in Austin, Texas on Tuesday, that Democrats want illegal immigrants to be able to come into the nation freely, across their open borders, in order to rig elections for the Democrats.
As CNSnews.com reports, Speaker Pelosi spoke on the importance of passing H.R. 1, the “For the People Act of 2019,” “to lay the foundation to pass the Voting Rights Act, strengthened after the actions of the Supreme Court, which significantly weakened it,” she said.

Specifically, Pelosi said immigrants “make America more American,” and we should not be “suppressing the vote of our newcomers to America.”
“So, when we talk about newcomers, we have to recognize the constant reinvigoration of America that they are, that we all have been – our families,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.
“And that, unless you’re blessed to be Native American – which is a blessing in itself that we respect – but that constant reinvigoration of hope, determination, optimism, courage, to make the future better for the next generation, those are American traits. And these newcomers make America more American. And we want them, when they come here, to be fully part of our system. And that means not suppressing the vote of our newcomers to America.”
She then quoted former President Reagan out of context to support her argument:
“In the campaign, the candidate that I, the president that I quoted the most was Ronald Reagan. Does that surprise you? Maybe. But Ronald Reagan said this: ‘This is the last speech I will make as President of the United States. And I have a message I want to communicate to the country I love.’ He went on to talk about the Statue of Liberty and what it means to the world – that beacon of hope, what it means to people who have come here and seen that statue welcoming them – he said, our ancestors, our grandparents, our parents.”
As President Trump’s son Donald Jr noted: “And there it is folks. What we all knew but no one would say. It’s only about votes for Democrats. “
Additionally, we note that friend-of-AOC, Rep. Ayanna Pressley may have outdone Pelosi with her latest stunt, an attempt to lower the federal voting age to 16.
“I am honored & excited to be introducing my very 1st amendment on the House floor, an amendment to #HR1, the #ForthePeopleAct. My amendment will lower the voting age from 18 to 16, allowing our youth to have a seat at the table of democracy. #16toVote,” she said.
