Some veteran employees are now reliving the 1998 strike when auto workers took to the picket lines for 54 days, which forced a company wide shut down.Employees are fighting for raises and a larger share of company profits, so they can afford to buy the vehicles they build. With 15 GM manufacturing facilities statewide, more than any other state, analysts say residents are bracing for the economic impacts of the strike:“Everyone is weaker now compared to 1998; the company, the City, and even the statewide economy,” explained Chris Douglas, a professor at Michigan State University.The state relies on the auto sector for seven-percent of wage and salary income. Now that we have seen the whistleblower complaint filed by a CIA officer against President Trump, there should be little doubt that it is a fraud and represents an abuse of the whistleblower process. I know genuine whistleblowers (e.g., Bill Binney, Kirk Wiebe, Ed Loomis, Thomas Drake, John Kiriakou, etc.) and have been one myself. I am familiar with the kind of information one must possess (or should possess) in order to initiate a complaint. This complaint does not even meet the stupid standard. It is a trumped up complaint.
This CIA officer who filed the complaint has no direct evidence or knowledge. He heard things from other people. He was not party to the phone conversation and did not have access to the transcript. Instead, he cited public media as “corroboration” for his allegations, including reports by John Solomon.
The whistleblower is supposedly an analyst. Pray to God he is not. If this is an example of this clown’s analytical chops then we now know what the CIA has been on the downward slide. Rather than focus on evidence and facts, this guy relied on rumor.
The egregious conduct of the whistleblower is exceeded by the incompetence of the Intelligence Community Inspector General. When the complaint was filed a competent professional IG would have dismissed it immediately because it was based on hearsay. If we follow his logic, every single Presidential conversation with a foreign leader that involves discussion of a policy or issue an analyst does not support could/should become an IG investigation. That is not an intelligence function no matter how sincerely or fiercely the complainant believes their beef merits attention.
It would appear that the Democrats who plotted with this CIA officer were counting on Donald Trump to claim executive privilege on his conversation with Ukrainian President Zelensky and, based on the same privilege, withhold the whistleblower complaint.
Whoops!! Trump did not play ball. He preempted the Democrat Kabuki theater by releasing the relevant documents and transcripts President Trump pre-empted the ability of the Democrats to accuse him of illegal acts by citing his refusal to turnover documents.
How can anyone claiming whistleblower status be allowed to file a complaint on something about which they have no direct knowledge? The entire premise of the intelligence community is the access to reliable sources, i.e., people who have direct knowledge of what they are reporting on. The Dems are in a state of flacid erectus.
To appreciate the lies of the so-called Whistleblower, let us compare his claims with what actually transpired:
The Whistleblower Claims:
The President of the United States is using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country in the 2020 U.S. election. This interference includes, among other things, pressuring a foreign country to investigate one of the President’s main domestic political rivals.
What President Trump Actually Said:
I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike… I guess you have one of your wealthy people… The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation. I think you’re surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. As you saw yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it if that’s possible. . . .
The other thing, There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it… It sounds horrible to me.
COMMENT–At no time did President Trump say anything about the 2020 election or the need to do something to Biden to preempt his ability to run for the Democrat nomination. Trump’s request was specifically about what happened in light of Joe Biden’s public claim–I REPEAT, PUBLIC CLAIM–that he used the threat of withholding aid from Ukraine unless they fired the Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating the company that hired Joe’s cocaine head son, Hunter.
The Whistleblower Claims:
Multiple White House officials with direct knowledge of the call informed me that, after an initial exchange of pleasantries, the President used the remainder of the call to advance his personal interests. Namely, he sought to pressure the Ukrainian leader to take actions to help the President’s 2020 reelection bid:
• initiate or continue an investigation2 into the activities of former Vice President Joseph Biden and his son, Hunter Biden;
• assist in purportedly uncovering that allegations of Russian interference in the 20 I 6 U.S. presidential election originated in Ukraine, with a specific request that the Ukrainian leader locate and turn over servers used by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and examined by the U.S. cyber security firm Crowdstrike,3 which initially reported that Russian hackers had penetrated the DNC’s networks in 2016; and
• meet or speak with two people the President named explicitly as his personal envoys on these matters, Mr. Giuliani and Attorney General Barr, to whom the President referred multiple times in tandem.
What Zelensky Actually Said about Hunter and Joe Biden:
President Zelenskyy: I wanted to tell you about the prosecutor. First of all I understand and I’m knowledgeable about the situation. . . He or she will look into the situation, specifically to the company that you mentioned in this issue. The issue of the investigation of the case is actually the issue of making sure to restore the honesty so we will take care of that and will work on the investigation of the case. On top of that, I would kindly ask you if you have any additional information that you can provide to us, it would be very helpful for the investigation to make sure that we administer justice in our country with regard to the Ambassador to the United States from Ukraine as far I as I recall her name was Ivanovich. It was great that you were the first one who told me that she was a bad ambassador because I agree with you 100%. Her attitude towards me was far from the best as she admired the previous President and she was on his side. She would not accept me as a new President well enough. . . .
I also want to ensure you that we will be very serious about the case and will work on the investigation. As to the economy, there is much potential for our two countries and one of the issues that is very important for Ukraine is energy independence. I believe we can be very successful and cooperating on energy independence with United States. We are already working on cooperation.
President Zelensky is asking President Trump for more help and strongly agreeing with Trump that the U.S. Ambassador was acting as a foe of Ukraine. To reiterate–the issue of corruption by Joe Biden and his spawn was already in public and was an issue for Ukraine, not just Trump. Again, not one word about the 2020 election or the Democrat scramble to find a candidate. No threat by Trump to withhold aid. No quid pro quo of any type. Joe Biden is on the record in public demanding Ukraine do what Biden wants or else the U.S. would withhold $1 Billion dollars in aid.
The Whistleblower lied. Not a single mention was made of “locating and turning over DNC servers.” This is a complete fabrication by the so-called Whistleblower.
President Zelensky noted that his people had already spoken with Rudy Giuliani and voiced not one single concern about that. And Zelensky said that his Government would fully cooperate with a U.S. law enforcement investigation.
Worth noting that John Solomon of the Hill is out tonight with documents that expose Joe Biden as a liar in this matter.
The heart of the Whistleblower complaint is a lie. The analyst reported hearsay but, as you can read for yourself, was not what was said on that call.
This is an outrageous abuse by the intelligence community. The CIA cannot and should not be trusted. This analyst is an incompetent who does not know how to distinguish between fact and suspicion.

To everyday Americans and observers around the world at this moment, it may appear that the deepstate is trying to take down a President, three years into his term — after all, an entrenched and embedded C.I.A. officer is the whistleblower, oh okay!
That’s not biased at all to have C.I.A. men snooping on the President’s official calls and then ratting them out to the ultra-anti-Trump Schiff.

If we don’t allow this, why have leaders at all? They’ve set the limbo bar so impossibly low, that no one will be allowed to get through. The press has become predatory, and that’s not their role. Congress has become predatory, too—these nearly lifelong public power addicts, which is not the role the founding fathers laid out for these representatives in Washington.

A close friend of Hillary Clinton and John Podesta, Buck is cut from the same cloth as many other degenerates with money in the Democratic Party.
Jeffrey Epstein, another famous degenerate Clinton family friend, was arrested earlier this year — and then died of highly questionable circumstances, when he was found in his jail cell of a shattered neck — as if his vertebrae were fragile peanut brittle falling on a sidewalk.

Aside from the election of Donald J. Trump back in 2016, few things have remained a focus of as much controversy — and debate — as the cryptocurrency world.

Some on the Internet love it, some hate it, some see it as a cure to all of the world's problems... others see it as a quick profit opportunity.
Whatever you think of it, we are more than a DECADE out from the moment when Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto launched the first version of Bitcoin's software, back in January 2009 to limited attention and praise at the time.
It hasn't gone away.
The central banks and many governments have sounded off on their views of this new asset class, yet it has not gone away, and it is not likely to at this point.
Big financial institutions including E*Trade and Fidelity have begun building storage, or custodial, services for the users of the leading cryptos, which include Bitcoin and Ether at the moment.
Bitcoin, the first crypto, has a simple economic schedule: coins are produced or "mined" throughout time by a mining network of participating computers. Mining gets more difficult over time, and the supply of new coins produced as a mining reward is cut in half approximately every 4 years, making supply scarce over time. The number of total coins in the Bitcoin network is capped at an eventual 21 million, and at that point, no new coins will be created. Instead, it is presumed that a market will form around the circulating coins available at that point in time, but we are still many years away from that date.
To receive, send, or store Bitcoins for the long term, you don't need a bank account. Numerous free wallet apps exist for Samsung and Apple smartphones, making daily purchases a breeze. The Flexa app, for example, even lets cryptocurrency users spend their Bitcoin or Ether at leading US merchants including Whole Foods, Petco, and Starbucks, to name a few big names participating in the Flexa project. The process of paying with crypto is almost identical to using Google Pay or Apple Pay, as it uses the same contactless technology on your iPhone or Samsung phone.
Sending and receiving Ether is very similar to the Bitcoin experience, except that more Ether exist in the world today, and currently the supply of Ether is not capped - although it is mined over time by computers, in a competitive process similar in many ways to Bitcoin's simpler mining routine.
With Ether, it is a P2P money like Bitcoin, but also the "fuel" for hundreds of decentralized apps or "dApps" as they're called, which run without censorship or interference on Ethereum's blockchain. Messing with them or knocking them offline is essentially impossible without taking on Ethereum's blockchain itself, which is secured by many millions of dollars in specialized mining hardware.
Some of these dApps include Livepeer, a decentralized video livestreaming encoding and hosting service, Cent, a blog publishing network on the blockchain similar to Medium, and NEXO, an "automated" bank-like lender that takes in your crypto deposit and immediately (or within minutes) issues you a credit line in your local fiat currency (US dollars or euros, for example) dependent on the amount of cryptocurrency you deposit. Very cool innovations, running 24/7 without any strong possibility of being knocked offline.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, yet this is the future, and those who can't see it will become the new servant class sooner than any of us can accept, I'm afraid. These dApps and monetary networks are here to stay, it appears.

As FOX is reporting, “Ed Buck, a prominent Democratic Party donor, was arrested Tuesday and charged with operating a drug house after a third man reportedly suffered an overdose inside his West Hollywood home last week and survived.”
After a third man suffered an overdose in his apartment! What are the odds!
Amazing that law enforcement in California acted at all — they let him get away with this several times before doing so.
This is a high level arrest of someone close to the Clintons, and Podesta. Let us hope Buck talks to authorities and gives up some other predatory degenerates in the political class.

We Signed Up For Apple's New Credit Card And Got Instantly Approved: Here's What It Was Like

Apple recently launched their long rumored foray into mainstream fintech, the so-called Apple Card. We saw it being promoted on Twitter and decided to give it a try—to our pleasant surprise, we were instantly approved, with a fairly reasonable credit line and a slick built-in experience (for iPhone) to track purchases and pay our statements.
How do you sign up for an Apple Card, and what was the process like? You open the Wallet App on a newer iPhone, and click the “+” icon in the upper right hand corner to begin the application process. If an approval is available, you Accept the offer presented to you, and within minutes the new Apple Card is added to your Wallet.
From that point, you can begin using the new card from your phone immediately at merchants that accept Apple Pay, or you can request (free) to have a custom card sent to you in the mail as well. It is a MasterCard with your name custom engraved, in typical Apple minimalist fashion, and arrives in about 3 to 5 business days after requesting it.
Overall, FULCRUM was impressed with the speed of sign-up and integration with the iPhone’s Wallet App. This is a solid bridge to the new world of “fintech” money apps and makes the iPhone a more useful financial device when on the go, for sure, but we still wish Apple had gone pro-crypto as rival smartphone maker Samsung has… Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and all future Samsung smartphones are expected to have Samsung’s wallet app available, which allows users to store Bitcoin and Ether on their smartphones.
In the meantime, the Apple Card is a good example of how consumers can move away from traditional banks, and instead get many of the same—or similar—financial products from Big Tech instead.

Sara A. Carter, an independent journalist who has been retweeted by President Trump in the past year, is claiming the Google insider also turned over about 950 pages of evidence to anti-trust authorities, and a laptop, containing documents which purportedly detail how Google is using algorithms to secretly “hide its political bias within artificial intelligence platforms – in effect targeting particular words, phrases and contexts to promote, alter, reference or manipulate perceptions of Internet content,” according to Carter’s exclusive.
One famous possible example of the political bias through AI-run algorithm was the weird memoryholing of “Clinton body count” content on Google search and YouTube results. (Google owns YouTube.)
At the height of the controversy, Google was alleged to have disallowed the phrase from auto-populating in a search query for the Clinton body count, and YouTube results were, it is alleged, manually rank-edited so that videos in favor of the theory were not easy to access.
This new Google insider also reportedly met with James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, interviewed in silhouette to protect his identity.

Wow. Google co-founder Sergey Brin, according to Yahoo! News and others, “attended an elite private dinner with Jeffrey Epstein just 2 years after he served a prison sentence for soliciting sex from a 14-year-old girl.”
Nice guy, this Google co-founder—what exactly did he learn from hanging out with a convicted pedophile and serial molester of children as young as 12 years old, and some researchers say Epstein was working to “procure” children as young as eight years old for sexual abuse.
Again, what business did tech executive Sergey Brin have in the company of a convicted pedophile and child trafficker? What insights or business perspective could Brin have possibly gleaned from the serial child trafficker?

I guess these tech “elites” aren’t like the rest of us in America at all—Brin’s company has shit all over the sacred First Amendment, which many Americans have died in battle to protect, and they’ve done it repeatedly, knowingly, and at scale.
Google-owned YouTube is a censored platform. Google search results and Google News are also censored platforms.

Bill Gates Reportedly Was "Directed" To Make Donations At Epstein's Request; Gabe Podesta Doesn't Understand Pedogate Yet?

As we and others had reported, it is already known that Bill Gates flew on convicted pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet — dubbed the Lolita Express — years after Epstein was convicted the first time around.
“Bill Gates flew with Jeffrey Epstein on the Lolita Express in 2013, with the man whose charity aims to empower young girls joining the serial pedophile four years after he left prison,” the Daily Mail succinctly put it.
But now the story gets even weirder — Business Insider and others are reporting that Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates made donations to MIT’s media lab through Jeffrey Epstein, almost as if repaying a debt of some kind or paying for… something? Emails show he was “directed” by the now deceased pedo Epstein to make a $2 million donation on or around 2014.
What sway did Epstein possibly have with one of the richest men in the world, to tell him where to make his donations?
Separately, FULCRUM Research believes Gabe Podesta — adult son of sicko John Podesta, at the center of the Podesta Emails released by WikiLeaks in late 2016 — may be directing disinformation and deplatforming attacks against researchers who have covered the Podesta Emails, which are real emails, and which demand criminal investigation.

This is unacceptable if true. Certainly, even the first half of today’s article should tell you this growing scandal is not a “child abuse hoax” — as the paid sockpuppet accounts researchers believe are linked to the Podesta family keep claiming.
The Podestas should ask their old employers, the Clintons, if this scandal is real: why was Bill Clinton a passenger on the Lolita Express, the same problematic child trafficking jet which now ensnares Bill Gates? Why was Bill Clinton a passenger on that plane 20+ times? What legitimate business does a former President have with a serial child trafficker and convicted pedophile like Epstein?
Also, in light of the direct connections researchers have made between John Podesta, his strange friend James Alefantis, and that despicable “Pedo Island” in the USVI run by Epstein — the Podestas should not be crowdstalking, deplatforming, or harassing anybody at all.
They should be asking the public for forgiveness, cooperating with authorities, and doing their best to replatform and make whole again the truthtellers they have maliciously attacked in the three years since the surprise loss of Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump.
They should be answering, in-depth, very legitimate questions the public has about the use of “walnut saucing,” “pizza,” and other strange terms found — repeatedly and in the context of being code words of some kind — in the Podesta WikiLeaks.
And then, Gabe Podesta should look his father in the eyes and ask why John Podesta — a 70 year old — was invited to a place where a six year old and her friends, aged nine and eleven, were delivered by a suspected child trafficker. To a pool, for the stated purpose of “entertainment.” (He should also ask why his father receives personal spiritcooking invitations, another curiosity from the Podesta WikiLeaks. THESE PEOPLE ARE SICK.)
This wretched person Luzzatto, described by some researchers as a “shittier version” of Epstein’s alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, was recently spotted at Martha’s Vineyard taking Instagram pics with members of the Kennedy family. What business do a family as wealthy and (once) charismatic as the Kennedys have with a monstrous suspected trafficker of the young and innocent?
Pre-Epstein’s death and all the info about Ghislaine Maxwell’s alleged child procuring activities coming out, many people didn’t believe all this stuff was possible. It has been alleged Epstein was seeking out victims as young as 8 years old, and it was reported that Clinton/Podesta pal Epstein had 12 year olds delivered as a birthday gift, and that he molested them before returning them to France.
Now that we see it’s par for the course — and that these people certainly do exist — what business do the Kennedys or the Podestas or anyone have with someone like Luzzatto? Here’s one of her emails in the WikiLeaks:

Greta the Angry

Those who are befuddled and beleaguered by climate nonsense look to Greta Thunberg as if she were another Joan of Arc. Those of us who live in reality see her as being hopelessly mired in the arrogance of untruth. Yes, Greta’s childhood has been stolen from her, but it isn’t America that’s done that – it’s her parents who have allowed her to be prostituted in this manner. It is the leftist politicians and their ilk who are milking her youth and gullibility and her hunger for acceptance who have stuck her up on a tilting pedestal. I’m as uncomfortable watching her as I am seeing a parent mistreat a child in public. Humiliation is coming at her like a locomotive and no one is yanking her off the tracks.
Let’s explore this comparison with the French teenager who was martyred in her attempt to free France from English control. She was a devout, if untutored and illiterate, Christian. She was, from the age of 13 until her death at 19, sure she saw visions of saints who told her what she must do. She was amazingly successful. Her followers, who included King Charles VII, believed in her -– a young girl in the 15th century! –- and allowed her to command their troops in battle.
One of the first non-fiction books I read as a child was entitled Candle in the Sky and was a biography of Joan of Arc. I read it over and over, completely astounded. Something very unusual was going on with her, and after 50 years of intense Bible study and further reading about the Maid of Orleans, I am still mystified. She believed so strongly in the divinity of her mission that she let them burn her at the stake and yet, I am unsure what concern God had in France maintaining its sovereignty, but God is the only way to even begin to grasp what happened there. He does, after all, control history.
Now look at Greta. If God had anything to do with what she’s up to, she’d understand that He has everything planned and that, in spite of human free will, the world will continue as long as He wants it to. She would know that saving the world is not a job for mere humans and that we can’t possibly be important or powerful enough to alter the carefully tuned workings of this astounding machine we call Earth.
But, alas, she knows very little and what she thinks she knows makes her very angry. She shouts, “How dare you!” at her audience as if merely staying alive in this world is something we’ve all done to offend her. She shouts about “mass extinction” as if a half a degree warming over a century will have us all choking to death in the streets. She moans about losing her childhood and missing school. Joan once said that she would rather be “spinning wool at her mother’s side” than commanding armies, but she screamed no accusations at the French people. She merely cited her divine mission and went off to war. Even when she was burning to death she said only two words, “Blessed Jesus.”
Joan actually accomplished what she set out to do. She wanted Charles VII recognized as the legitimate heir to the throne. She wanted the English tossed out of France. This was at the end of the Hundred Years War which had followed close on the devastation of the Black Plague and France was nearly destroyed by those two horrors. Historians generally credit Joan with saving France.
Will Greta of Thunberg be credited with anything so grand? Unlike the Maid, Greta hasn’t done anything concrete. She has expressed no tenable suggestions about what we should do or undo, let alone set anything substantial in motion. Young people can make a difference –- look at what Boyan Slat, the Dutch boy who has been working now for several years to design a system that will clean our oceans and who appears to be succeeding. He has screamed at no one, accused no one, nor has he attempted to change the way his fellow humans live. He just went to work –- like Joan did.
Both Greta and Joan are different from their contemporaries. Greta suffers from autism/Asperger’s and no doubt has to cope with the social rough spots associated with being on the spectrum. Joan had visions –- most people don’t. Our modern secular viewpoint has historians wondering what sort of schizophrenia haunted Joan -- but despite her diagnosis, going off to war at 16 -- in the 15th century -- had to cause some seriously awkward social situations. In fact, it is said that she requested that Charles supply her with armor partly because she felt it would protect her from sexual attack.
These two young girls –- both highly motivated –- were set in motion by two very different forces. Greta is terrified. She seems to really believe that she will be dead in 11 years. Her fear is palpable, so much so that she is infecting thousands of other unstable young people, and fear is only useful for fleeing or fighting. Fear never produces tangible improvements –- only ill health and anger.
Joan, on the other hand, was motivated by love -– love of her savior, love of her country. She was motivated by duty to both. She showed very little fear in her short life, and what fear she felt, she controlled. Just before her immolation she asked two priests to hold a crucifix up for her to stare at as she died. Such incredible courage. She was so brave that she struck fear in the hearts of her enemies. The English burned her three times to make sure that nothing was left.
Greta will not meet such a fate, but one that is perhaps worse. She will either live long enough to find out what a fool she was and how people used and abused her, or she will never connect with reality and will live out her days as frightened as she is now. There’s no happy place on her horizon.
Not unless she too begins seeing divine visions.

Trump’s Economic Triumph

Prosperity is increasing, and the less well-off are benefiting the most.
Four large secrets that most of the American media are afraid to utter are that the American economy is growing in a way that is directly helpful to the most vulnerable segments of society; that the administration’s trade policy is clearly working; that the flow of illegal immigrants is sharply diminishing; and that for the first time in 65 years, the United States has practically ceased to be a net oil importer. These were all promises of the Trump candidacy, and the first three were areas where previous administrations had promised action but failed to deliver. Even now, the Democratic presidential candidates still prattle compulsively about “tax cuts for the rich” before embarking on the ride of the Valkyries to stratospheric taxes, open borders, socialized medicine, the Green Terror, and the dreaded “national conversation” on trillion-dollar block-vote buying through racial reparations.
The census report ten days ago revealed workers’ earnings increasing at 3.4 percent annually, a rate not seen since the best of the Reagan years, and the poverty rate has declined to 11.8 percent, the best figure that has been recorded since the end of the Clinton administration and still resolutely proceeding in the right direction. Unemployment is at its lowest percentage since the Lyndon Johnson administration more than 50 years ago (and the numbers then were helped by having 545,000 conscripts in Vietnam). Minority groups are the principal beneficiaries of the Trump economy; this isn’t trickle-down, it’s surge-up. Average income for female-led single-parent households jumped 7.6 percent last year, well ahead of gains in higher income groups. The poverty rate among female-led households fell 2.7 percent for African Americans, and 4 percent for Hispanics. Industries largely populated by women (and, historically, exploited women), especially hospitality and, to a lesser extent, health care, showed strong earnings gains, even as unemployment rates for African-American and Hispanic women fell to under 4.5 percent. Another partisan Democratic falsehood that is exposed by the census is the myth that the middle class is shrinking. The percentage of total families at the lowest economic levels has fallen by over 1 whole percent and the brackets from $50,000 to $150,000 and above $200,000 have both increased by almost 1 whole percent (several million people in each case). There were sharp increases in the incomes of younger families (up to age 34).
Most growth has been in the lower and middle levels, and the downward effects of reduced benefit and welfare payments, which dampen the income-growth number slightly, are themselves a positive indicator of reduced need for assistance. The plain message from the census figures and accompanying current statistics from the Labor Department show that the administration that puts economic growth (Trump) ahead of direct tax-and-spend transfers to combat inequality (Obama) achieves more for both economic growth and reduction of inequality. There is no sign that the Democrats are assimilating the lessons of this. They endlessly repeat their false mantra that the rich (i.e. the knee-jerk limousine liberals of Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and Wall Street, almost all of them effulgent Democrats) are the only winners from the Trump economy. The biggest relative winners are the most needy, which they will presumably remember on Election Day.
The usual media take about the trade dispute with China is also changing. The Chinese premier, Li Keqiang, acknowledged recently that “growth in industrial production is at its lowest point in 17 and a half years” and blamed the trade dispute with the U.S. This is unusually candid for a senior Chinese official. The premier reaffirmed the goal of 6.5 percent economic growth, but qualified western observers, including the liberal Brookings Institution, believe that China has been inflating its declared rate of economic growth by about 2 percent since 2008. The effect of this is that China has not really had 6 percent growth for about a decade, and the real present size of the Chinese economy is $10.9 trillion, not the claimed $13.4 trillion. This reveals that China’s economy is really half the size of that of the United States, and at current rates of growth, is not gaining on the United States in absolute terms of size at all.
The U.S. tariffs have struck China at a sensitive time. Pork is one of the largest ingredients in the Chinese diet, and part of China’s reprisal against the U.S., to try to strike at the base of President Trump’s agrarian voting constituency, was to raise the tariff on pork by 400 percent, from 12 to 62 per cent. This backed straight onto the grocery bill of the Chinese families at a time when China has suffered the worst attack of African swine fever in its hog industry in many years, possibly leading to the reduction of the country’s pork production by 50 percent this year. The effect has been an almost 50 percent rise in pork prices and a jump in the inflation index. Foreign sources have not been able to make good domestic shortfalls in availability of pork. These developments, more than a general spirit of benignity, probably led to the Chinese exemption on further tariff increases on U.S. agricultural products announced last week. China is also the chief victim in any increase in the world oil price, a fact that may cause it to be more cautious in its Iranian policy. President Trump claims that the United States has collected $68 billion on the new tariffs it has imposed and that it has only cost $16 billion to protect the American farmer. That may be slightly optimistic, but it is clear that the farm states support the president and that the pressure on China to make a comprehensive settlement is practically irresistible, as long as the president doesn’t gratuitously humiliate China. An improved trade deal with China now seems to be imminent.
Readers will recall the howls of derision that went up when candidate Trump said he would “build a wall” on the southern border and that Mexico would pay for it. Some will remember the vulgar expletives of the loud-mouthed former president of Mexico, Vicente Fox. The wall is being built; Mexico will substantially pay for it through the revised terms of the trade deal with Mexico, and the new Mexican president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the most leftward leader Mexico has had in many decades, is deploying 27,000 soldiers near the border and has revised the former Mexican practice of passing migrants through Mexico in huge numbers, from Central America to the United States. The nonsense of Democratic politicians such as Speaker Nancy Pelosi about the border detention centers being like Nazi death camps has ended. Historians of the future will wonder why the United States allowed 20 million into the country illegally in the first place, and the fact that the Democrats wanted the votes and the Republicans wanted the cheap labor is no excuse. President Trump’s tackling of the problem where his predecessors failed is a formidable achievement. The era of the Mexicans’ attracting American factories to Mexico and shipping back illegal migrants and unemployment, but not the profits of relocated American companies, is ending, but Mexico is gaining trade with the U.S. lost by China.
Finally, a bipartisan success. The United States became a net oil importer in the Eisenhower years, and peaked at 15 million barrels a day (over $400 billion annually) with President Clinton. This declined to ten million barrels a day with President George W. Bush, to five million a day under President Obama, and is now almost zero under President Trump. Increased offshore drilling and substitution of natural gas, fracking (horizontal shale drilling), and conservation have all contributed to this benign trend, but it cannot be said that windmills and solar panels had much to do with it.
These are all developments that were promised in the last election, a fact thoroughly disguised by the superficial controversies that regularly enshroud Washington (including the current Ukrainian nonsense).

Whistleblower Story Implodes: Gov’t Official Specifically Calls Part of Story False, Other Claims Fall Apart

One of the major problems with the whistleblower complaint that some in the mainstream media are glossing over is that the person wasn’t even on the phone call, so how could he/she know what was said?

The answer of course is that the person could not know. The person admitted in the complaint released today that he/she wasn’t on the call so anything could only at best be second hand information or hearsay. In other words rumor and innuendo.
Yet media was elevating that complaint over the representations of the people who actually were on the call and the transcript of what was really said. Adam Schiff even found that transcript so bland and non-impeachable that he had to make up his own version full of lies to deceive people.
Now, a specific fact alleged in the complaint of the ‘whistleblower’ claimed is being called false by a government official, according to a new breaking report.
According to Christina Ruffini, the State Department and Foreign Affairs Reporter for CBS News, a senior government official is saying that one of the people the whistleblower claimed was on the call was not in fact on the call.

Another problem in the story also emerged today, according to Fox.
And according to the whistleblower complaint, by mid-May, U.S. diplomat Kurt Volker sought to “contain the damage” from Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani’s outreach to Ukraine.
But a July 19 text message conversation from Volker to Giuliani, provided to Fox News on Thursday, showed that Volker had in fact encouraged Giuliani to reach out to Ukraine — even sending Giuliani a message reading, “connecting you here with Andrey Yermak, who is very close to President Zelensky.”
Additionally, the complaint said Trump “suggested that Mr. Zelensky might want to keep” his current prosecutor general, a claim not supported by the transcript.
There were of course other things wrong with the claim to begin with, such as the claim that there was a quid pro quo offered when there was none, as the transcript shows. Ukraine has also made it clear that they did not in any way feel pressured in the phone call, despite the whistleblower saying differently. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said it was a “normal call” and “no one pushed me.”
But now with these very specific items not holding up, will the mainstream media and Democrats finally admit that this is folly to string impeachment talk based on hearsay and rumor? Pretty hard to be a “whistleblower” about an event you weren’t even a part of. Could it possibly be that the people who were on the call and who actually heard what were said are more accurate than this alleged CIA person who wasn’t?
And there’s a far greater question media is missing here as well.
Why is this person being told about the call to begin with? What right did he/she have to be informed about any of this? How leaked to him and why? This indicates a problem within the intelligence community. And is this part of the IC rift with President Trump?
Is there any wonder that the Trump White House would want to shift information into more secure servers when you have leakers like this out there?
Congressional Republicans needs to start asking those essential questions and get our IC community in order. And Democrats and media need to find reality and stop pushing these kinds of stories based on nothing but what looks like pure political agenda.
