FIVE STORIES PRESIDENT TRUMP DOESN'T WANT YOU TO MISS

-The Wall Street Journal
“A sorry period in Congressional history ended Wednesday with the Senate acquittal of President Trump on two articles of impeachment passed by a partisan and reckless Democratic House. Chalk up one more victory for the Framers of the Constitution, who realized the dangers of political factions and created the Senate to check them,” The Wall Street Journal editorial board writes.

A Breakdown of Trump’s Most Triumphant Week Yet
-The Federalist
“Whether one is a Donald Trump supporter or not, it’s impossible to deny this has been one of the best weeks for the Trump presidency ever.” Those successes include record-high approval ratings, a well-received State of the Union address, an expectations-shattering jobs report, and the end of Democrats’ impeachment stunt, Tristan Justice writes.

January Adds a Much Stronger-Than-Expected 225,000 Jobs
-CNBC
The Trump Economy shattered predictions again with 225,000 jobs added last month, beating the 158,000 expected, Jeff Cox reports. “There was more good news for workers: Average hourly earnings rose 3.1% over a year ago.” Wage growth for blue-collar workers outpaced gains for managers—a reversal from the previous administration.

13 Key Takeaways From President Trump’s Epic State Of The Union Address
-The Federalist
“President Donald Trump’s rousing State of the Union address to a divided Congress encouraged his supporters with bold defense of conservative values, overtly reached out to independents on the basis of successful implementation of domestic policy goals, and in so doing enraged the Democrat left on what was already a difficult day for them,” Mollie Hemingway writes.

Trump, the Developer in Chief, Has a New Way to Fight Poverty

“After more than 50 years, the outdated government-dependency approach to fighting poverty has shown its limits,” writes Tomas Philipson, Acting Chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers. That’s why President Trump championed a new antipoverty strategy with his 2017 “Opportunity Zones” tax cuts, which are spurring development and job creation in struggling communities.

Democrats don't want you to know America has never done better than right now
1600 Daily
The White House • February 6, 2020
The real story they won’t tell you
“Our country has never done better than it is doing right now,” President Trump said this morning. He’s right—and the numbers prove it.
While one party mourns the death of its political stunt, here is the news from the rest of America:
Americans’ economic optimism just hit a record 44-year high—better than under Presidents Reagan, Clinton, or Obama. That confidence is buoyed by an unemployment rate near 50-year lows, a record stock market, and plummeting income inequality as blue-collar wage gains outpace white-collar ones.
More people are satisfied with how things are going in the United States than at any point in the past 15 years. Besides the soaring economy, violent crime rates are down, and American strength grows as terror leaders are brought to justice.
A record-breaking 90 percent of Americans are satisfied with their personal life. “It's likely no coincidence that Americans' heightened satisfaction with their personal life comes as confidence in the U.S. economy and their personal finances are also at long-term or record highs,” Gallup writes.
To top it off: While Democrat leaders fume and rip up speeches, the rest of the country is giving President Trump his highest approval rating yet.
Never before has the left’s partisanship been so disconnected from reality. When President Trump shared good news in his State of the Union speech—on our economy, our military, or anything else—Democrats refused to cheer. Their one agenda item, impeachment, failed. None of America’s tremendous successes mattered to them.
But it matters a lot to working Americans of all backgrounds. We know that because they said so: By a stunning 40-point margin, independents said that impeachment was “more important to politicians than it is to me.” About the same number said impeachment was “more important to the media than it is to me.” The issues that did matter to them: healthcare, infrastructure, the economy, and more.
Democrats have made their priority clear—and it’s not you. Fortunately, America is succeeding without their help. But it shouldn’t have to be that way.

Pelosi hates Trump more than she loves the American people

‘They Should Have Been Working for You’
“Last fall, Nancy Pelosi finally lost control of the radicals in her conference and reluctantly imposed upon the American people a bitter impeachment process that threatened to inflict irreversible damage upon our country,” Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) writes in the Charlotte Observer.
“Congressional Democrats have spent the last five months working for themselves and trying to quench their three-year thirst to reverse the results of the 2016 election, when they should have been working for you.”

“Our Founding Fathers feared that impeachment would be used as a partisan tool by partisan actors … In the impeachment of President Donald Trump, their fears have been realized.” It’s time to raise “the simple majority threshold in the House of Representatives to approve impeachment articles,” Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) writes in USA Today.
“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi apparently made tiny tears in her copy of President Trump’s State of the Union address — so that her speech-ripping moment could go off without a hitch. As Trump introduced cancer-stricken radio host Rush Limbaugh — who received the Medal of Freedom during the speech — Pelosi could be seen grabbing the pages off the table,” Tamar Lapin reports for the New York Post.
“The number of Americans who applied for unemployment benefits at the end of January fell close to a postrecession low, signaling the U.S. labor market is still rock solid . . . Initial jobless claims declined by 15,000 to 202,000 in the seven days ended Feb. 1,” Jeffry Bartash reports for MarketWatch.

Trump aquited in impeachment trial
1600 Daily
The White House • February 5, 2020
BREAKING: Senate acquits President Trump!
Today, House Democrats’ sham impeachment ended with the full vindication and exoneration of President Trump by the Senate.
Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham issued the following statement in part:
The Senate voted to reject the baseless articles of impeachment, and only the President’s political opponents—all Democrats, and one failed Republican presidential candidate—voted for the manufactured impeachment articles.
In what has now become a consistent tradition for Democrats, this was yet another witch-hunt that deprived the President of his due process rights and was based on a series of lies . . . Throughout this wholly corrupt process, President Trump successfully advanced the interests of the United States and remained focused on the issues that matter to Americans. He spent his time achieving real victories for the people of this country, and the Democrats—once again—have nothing to show for their fraudulent schemes.
President Trump’s State of the Union address made his priorities clear: It’s time to put the partisanship in Congress behind us. One of the most important lines from his speech last night reminds our leaders who they’re here to serve. It’s not their donors, it’s not each other, and it’s not the sensationalist corporate media.
“Members of Congress: We must never forget that the only victories that matter in Washington are victories that deliver for the American people.”

Last night’s State of the Union address was unforgettable, as President Trump told the Great American Comeback Story that’s unfolding across our country.
“Jobs are booming, incomes are soaring, poverty is plummeting, crime is falling, confidence is surging, and our country is thriving and highly respected again,” the President said. “America’s enemies are on the run, America’s fortunes are on the rise, and America’s future is blazing bright.”
On the issues that matter most to working families, from fixing our broken trade deals to rebuilding our great military, President Trump has kept his promises.
Some of the best examples of those results came from the special guests who joined the President and First Lady last night. Here are just a few of their stories:
Charles McGee, 100 years old and one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, served our country in three wars: World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. “General McGee, our Nation salutes you,” the President said.
Amy Williams is a military mother who works full-time while raising two young children. She still finds time to devote countless hours to helping other military families. Last night, President Trump had a surprise: “I am thrilled to inform you that your husband is back from deployment. He is here with us tonight.”
Tony Rankins is an Army veteran—and a prime example of how the President’s economic policies have life-changing results. Take Opportunity Zones, part of the 2017 tax cuts law: Tony climbed back from homelessness and found a job with a construction company that invests in these distressed communities. “He is now a top tradesman, drug-free, reunited with his family,” President Trump said.
Carl and Marsha Mueller. Last year, U.S. Special Forces took out the world’s top terrorist, ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The Muellers tragically lost their daughter Kayla at the hands of this vicious killer. In her honor, the U.S. mission was named Task Force 8-14, a reference to Kayla’s August 14th birthday. In the President’s words: “America’s warriors never forgot Kayla—and neither will we.”

Rubio praises State of the Union Address

Sen. Marco Rubio: Trump State of the Union Reminds Us of What Matters to America
“President Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night was a much-needed and refreshing reminder that life does indeed exist outside the Washington bubble,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) writes for Fox News.
“He spoke to the hundreds of millions of Americans who do not spend each day refreshing their Twitter accounts to find out the latest ‘hot take’ . . . It is time we focus on what matters to the American people, not to Washington pundits.”

President Trump seized the moment last night with a “powerful, patriotic” State of the Union message to Americans across the political spectrum. “And then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reinforced his message with her oh-so-symbolic ripping up of the text. What, other than channeling the alienation of the Democratic base from the great American center, was she thinking?” the New York Post editorial board writes.
“President Donald Trump surprised an Army wife during Tuesday’s State of the Union address, bringing her husband home from Afghanistan and directly into the chamber . . . The crowd erupted with cheers and applause as Sergeant Williams walked down the steps to embrace his stunned wife and children,” Virginia Kruta writes for The Daily Caller.
“The jobs market kicked off 2020 in grand fashion, adding 291,000 in private payrolls for the best monthly gain since May 2015 . . . That was well above the 150,000 estimate from economists surveyed by Dow Jones,” Jeff Cox reports for CNBC.
