Why the left’s belief in a Swedish ‘utopia’ is based on a lie

NEW YORK POST:
When Elisabeth Asbrink invites you to visit her in Stockholm, Sweden, be sure to wear your very best socks.
“I hate it when people walk into my home in their shoes. In that way I am extremely Swedish,” she said. “We find it very, very rude.”
Removing your shoes before entering a home is a universal norm in Sweden, Asbrink says — but not a lesson her immigrant parents, born in Budapest and London, ever taught her.
“When they went to the homes of colleagues and friends they would dress up, then had to have dinner in their socks. Which they found very strange,” Asbrink recalled. “They believed that it was an old tradition, from when Sweden was a peasant country full of earth and mud.”
They were wrong, as Asbrink, an acclaimed journalist, learned years later.
In “Made in Sweden” (Scribe), out Tuesday, Asbrink explains the awkward truth: Sweden’s no-shoes rule is not a quaint custom carried to the city from Sweden’s farms but the lingering effect of an edict handed down by its all-encompassing welfare state.

Sure. I’ve been telling it. All the time. In fact, you know my story,” said Giuliani. “There’s nothing I can tell them that you can’t read online. From the very beginning, I’ve been totally transparent about this.”Giuliani reiterated that the whistleblower complaint can not be trusted because it was based solely on second hand information.

FDA: OVER 6,000 DEAD FROM PUBERTY BLOCKING DRUG FOR TRANSGENDER CHILDREN
Parents of kids with gender dysphoria not warned about dangers of hormone blockers
Kelen McBreen | Infowars.com - SEPTEMBER 27, 2019 0 Comments
FDA: Over 6,000 Dead From Puberty Blocking Drug For Transgender Children
A drug used to block puberty in children with gender dysphoria is responsible for the death of over 6,300 people, according to the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

The Christian Post reports Leuprolide Acetate (Lupron) “is being prescribed off-label for use in children who have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria despite the lack of formal FDA approval for that purpose.”

“The drug is clinically approved for treatment of precocious puberty, a condition where children start their pubertal processes at an abnormally early age and the blocker is administered for a short time until the proper age,” the outlet continues.

Citing FDA data, the article reads, “Between 2012 and June 30 of this year, the FDA documented over 40,764 adverse reactions suffered by patients who took Leuprolide Acetate (Lupron), which is used as a hormone blocker. More than 25,500 reactions logged from 2014-2019 were considered ‘serious,’ including 6,370 deaths.”

A California-based endocrinologist named Michael Laidlaw has been exposing the controversial tactic of prescribing testosterone to girls as young as 8 who suffer from gender dysphoria.

Laidlaw argues, “Gender dysphoria is not an endocrine condition, but is a psychological one and should, therefore, be treated with proper psychological care.”

However, when puberty blockers are given to children, an endocrine condition is created.

This dangerous practice is becoming increasingly lucrative for Big Pharma company AbbVie, with Lupron sales in the United States hitting $669 million in 2017.

Military suicides highest ever

OAN Newsroom
UPDATED 6:35 AM PT — Friday, September 27, 2019
The suicide rate for active duty military members has reached a record high, and Pentagon officials are trying to grapple with the tragedies that are ticking upward. That’s according to a recent report from the Defense Department, which revealed suicides have been rising at an average of six-percent annually over the past five years. Most recently, the number of service members who took their own life jumped from 285 to 325 between 2017 and 2018. The Pentagon report applies to service members in the Army, Navy and Marine Corps.Military leaders say getting down to the root of the issue is difficult as they struggle to identify members with possible problems since some might be reluctant to seek help for fear it could affect promotions or security clearances.Several months ago, members of Congress talked with specialists about how to deal with issues veterans might grapple with after serving.“Many of them do not use veteran as there primary identity and so, that is why it’s really critically important that we embed these strategies in the U.S. health care system. So that no matter where a veteran goes for care, they will be greeted with a health care professional who’s been appropriately trained, equipped, and incentivized to do the right thing.” — Terri Tanielian, Sr. Behavioral Scientist – Rand CorporationFILE – In this Sept. 6, 2019, file photo, U.S. soldiers survey the the safe zone between Syria and the Turkish border near Tal Abyad, Syria, on a joint patrol with the Tax Abyad Military Council, affiliated with the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces. (AP Photo/Maya Alleruzzo, File)Following the new report, however, leaders at the Pentagon worry the military environment invites many stressors that make it sometimes almost impossible to identify root causes.Earlier this year, the president signed an executive order to help curb the suicide rate among veterans. The task force pulls federal governments, local governments and private sector partners together to find solutions to curb the tragedies.“They leave a military life and go to civilian life, and it is different. We must keep our promises to those who keep us free. Through today’s action I am launching the prevent initiative. The president’s road map to empower veterans and end the national tragedy of suicide.” — President TrumpMilitary officials say the number of suicides for the Air Force have slowed down, but they say they are still working on many initiatives such as an interactive education program to help members develop coping skills.
If you or anyone you know may be contemplating suicide please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 for help.

City bans calling someone an ‘illegal alien’ out of hate

NEW YORK POST:

It’s now against the law in New York City to threaten someone with a call to immigration authorities or refer to them as an “illegal alien” when motivated by hate.
The restrictions — violations of which are punishable by fines of up to $250,000 per offense — are outlined in a 29-page directive released by City Hall’s Commission on Human Rights.
“‘Alien’ — used in many laws to refer to a ‘noncitizen’ person — is a term that may carry negative connotations and dehumanize immigrants, marking them as ‘other,’” reads one passage of the memo. “The use of certain language, including ‘illegal alien’ and ‘illegals,’ with the intent to demean, humiliate, or offend a person or persons constitutes discrimination.”
The directive goes on to list several examples of acts and comments that would run afoul of the restrictions, including harassing people over their accents or grasp of English, or wielding the threat of a call to Immigration and Customs Enforcement as a tool of hate.

Warren flustered after asked about ethics plan

2020 Democrat presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren appeared flustered on the campaign trail after a reporter asked her about her ethics plan. Warren spoke with reporters at a campaign event in New Hampshire this week, where someone asked if her plan “would allow her vice president’s son to serve on the board of a foreign company.”The question comes amid a shift in media focus to fellow 2020 candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who worked for a Ukrainian oil and gas company while his father was serving as vice president.Warren initially responded to the question saying she would not allow her vice president’s son to work for a foreign company, but she quickly backtracked.

WARREN: “It’s not a matter of politics, it’s a matter of constitutionality. Nobody‘s above the law, not even the President of the United States... If Congress does not hold this man accountable, he will break the law again & again. It‘s time for impeachment now.” #nhpolitics
